The Rebirth of America’s Propaganda Machine and How Patriotic Platforms Like Parler Are Pushing Back
In recent months it has become impossible to pretend free speech is not under attack in America.
At least, for the increasing wave of people being washed under the weight of censorship it is. Hand in hand with the incredible suppression of Conservative content is the massive counterpunch of manipulation upon the masses.
As a whole, the censorship came as a sucker punch, landing square in the jaw of Conservatives.
The manipulation via disinformation and propaganda being relentlessly unleashed upon America is a diabolically brilliant follow-through. That Americans never saw this coming is evidence that history, left unlearned, will repeat itself.
In April 1917, one week after America entered WWI, President Woodrow Wilson created the Committee on Public Information (CPI). Headed up by George Creel, the CPI conducted a crushing campaign of propaganda, censorship, and disinformation upon the American people.
Wilson needed Americans to not just accept going to war, but to want it. CPI accomplished this by disseminating propaganda through universities, press releases, advertisements, and even kids’ cartoons. It subsidized overseas news organizations, bribed journalists, and employed a shockingly un-American set of tactics to manipulate Americans into turning upon one another.
You can read about the CPI in more depth in John Maxwell Hamilton’s book, Manipulating the Masses -Woodrow Wilson and the Birth of American Propaganda.
What is happening today is following the same template used by Wilson. It also follows a playbook of mass manipulation, as outlined in several peer-reviewed articles.
Two examples of this are the constant referencing of Trump being the same as Hitler, the relentless character assassination of those who refuse to accept the Far Left doctrines ( Accusations of racism is a favorite weapon of choice). You can learn more about this in articles like Media Manipulation of the Masses: How the Media Psychologically Manipulates
Half of Americans are either unaware of what is happening, believe it is justified, or believe that anyone who insists it is real belongs in the tin-foil-hat club.
The other half has begun heeding the call for a tactical retreat from mainstream media, and has begun reconnecting in the virtual version of Sherwood Forest, where people who are tired of tyrannical rule are connecting with one another in intentional efforts to preserve their freedoms.
Together, they are formulating plans to push back against the people who are intent upon destroying anyone or anything that stands in their way of their goals. The Battle lines have been drawn in this country that slumbered for years under the illusion of unity.
But mostly, they are relishing the freedom of speech they once took for granted. Slowly at first, and then in force, Conservatives and Moderates selected the new ground upon which to plant their flags.
The new platform, Parler, is on its way to outgrowing Twitter while Rumble is creeping up to dominate Youtube.
There, all views are welcome, providing they do not promote violence or other unlawful pursuits. This alone is enough to set Parler aside from platforms like Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook, which unabashedly allow and even promote all levels of hatred, shaming, and even destruction of property and threats or violent actions against those who support President Trump or oppose the Far Left Liberal path the Democrat Party has adopted.
Americans who are paying attention are fully aware that there is a revolution of sorts underway in this country. Traditional Americans who embrace patriotism, Capitalism, the Constitution, and personal accountability are reeling from the surprise attack by the Far Left Americans who are intent on dismantling or “rethinking” those things – like Richard Stengel.
Stengel is on Joe Biden’s transition team as Team Lead for the US Agency for Global Media. While serving under Obama, Stengel was called the “Chief Propagandist.” He openly states he is “Not against propaganda” because “every country does it.” They even “have to do it,” he says.
Dave Troy, maker of the popular email management tools, Chuck and Mailstrom, has been acknowledged by the founding team at Twitter as the first developer to utilize the Twitter API, with his project “Twittervision.”
Troy has stated that “Parler is too big for its britches,” and hinted that it may even be funded by Russia. Troy tweeted complaints about Conservatives wanting their own Social Media platforms, saying this challenges the current cabal.
The faster Conservatives regroup and rally, the louder the Liberals complain. How this community of Far Left Americans managed to sneak past an unsuspecting public is a question for another day.
What must be answered now is how to defend America from its agenda, preserve our core values and Constitutional rights, and emerge stronger for the experience. Platforms like Parler and Rumble are providing the space to connect and collaborate on that. Now the rest is up to us.
